Tunica & Graceland
April 19 - 22, 2005

You will start to recognize some of the people who love Tunica and accompany us over and over again.

We again stayed at Gold Strike, visited and toured Graceland and stopped at Lambert's in Sikeston, Missouri on the return trip home.  The weather in Tunica was stupendous, but we came back to the "real" April weather in Indiana.

Below are pictures taken at Graceland.  Indicated by everyone wearing headsets, you are given a set before boarding the shuttle which takes you across the street, through the Gates of Graceland.  You may browse Graceland at your own pace, guided by the audio on your headset, after a welcome and introduction from an greeter at the front door.  Our driver, who has become known as "Tall Paul", is facing the camera in the 4th picture.

Below is Elvis' father's office, as it was left when he died.

The below pictures were taken inside the museum on the Graceland property.  They are not great pictures, but camera flash is not allowed inside this building.

Below are pictures of the lovely pasture behind the house, as well as the pool and gravesites area.

Below is lunch at Lambert's in Sikeston, Missouri, "The Home of the Throwed Roll".

Nancy is doing an excellent job on a very structured diet, but we aren't sure the salad she ordered qualified as a "lunch salad".

4.22.05:  We had a great time.  This is the most well organized trip I have ever been on.            Carol Bytner
