Once again, we travel to Tunica in beautiful weather. The below pictures are taken from the bus as we cross the Mighty Mississippi River. We hope you enjoy viewing our photos. They may take a bit of time to load, but we like to include as many pictures as possible. Everyone who goes on the trip enjoys viewing them when they get home.
We did not take pictures at Gold Strike Hotel & Casino, as we have taken so many there before, we decided to allow more to be taken at Southland Greyhound Park. Oh....what fun we had at the dog track! Although it was our first time going to the dog track for our side-trip, it will certainly not be the last. The pictures below are as we entered Southland Greyhound Park.
We were served a wonderful lunch in our own special area of the clubhouse. The first picture below is of Minnie Pennington, the representative at Southland. What a wonderful lady! She helped everyone to understand the program, tip sheet and reader board. Most of the people on this trip had never been to any kind of a race track before. By the third race, they fully understood the betting process. The second picture is of our bus driver, Chuck Link of Royal Excursion.
