Salute to Seniors
September 8, 2005

The Flint, Michigan Convention & Visitor's Bureau, along with Crossroads Village, offered a marvelous, fun-filled day to senior citizens who visited from near and far.

Upon our arrival, we had a box lunch, then had free time to explore the historical village.

Within the village was a ferris wheel and a carousel, which were free rides.  Most everyone took advantage!  As you can see by some of the pictures, the carousel was a very fast running carousel, giving lots of laughs to both those riding and those watching.

We then had a nice plated afternoon meal and was able to fit in a paddle boat ride and watch an Elvis impersonator before our train ride.

There was a bald eagle in the trees as we cruised, indicated by the red circle in the picture below.

Our narrated train ride was next, which lasted about 45 minutes with a nice breeze blowing.

The picture below was taken by me from the car in which I was riding, showing the length of the train.

We rounded the day out being entertained by the Glenn Miller Orchestra.

Thank you, Flint......we had a great time!!!
