SJO-PRO Tours
Austin, Texas
May 6, 2010

We hosted a lovely group with Bill Sjoblom of SJO-PRO Tours out of Austin, Texas which was touring South Bend on the last day of a tour in Michigan and Indiana.  South Bend showed our guests what kind of stellar spring days we can have here.  The temperature was perfect, a beautiful blue sky, the flowers in full bloom and the sun was shining bright.

To any of the passengers who were on this trip - please feel free to save any of the photos posted here on the website, or email us if you would like the original full-sized photo to download.

The Tri-State motor coach picked me up at the Toll Road exit in the morning after they departed Shipshewana and we headed to Notre Dame.  Our first stop was to stop at the Administration Building and the Golden Dome for a great photo opportunity.

We then walked next door to the Basilica of the Sacred Heart, where a most informative tour guide met up with us to share the history of the basilica, as well as tidbits of information about the campus.

We then walked around the back to the Grotto.

It was time to board the bus and head to the Hammes Bookstore to make a few purchases.

As you can see, we could not have asked for the sun to be shining any brighter than it was today.

We then left the campus and headed to the Studebaker Museum.

We sat down to very nice box lunches prepared by The Skillet restaurant.

We made our way back north to the Toll Road, where they dropped me off and headed back to Chicago for the flight back to Austin.

What a pleasure it was to spend the day with these lovely Texans!
