Progressive Christmas Dinner
December 10, 2005

First of all, we want to thank Susan Kessler of The English Rose and Cushing Manor, and Pauline Medhurst of The Queen Anne Inn, Innkeepers of these magnificent historical homes in South Bend's Historic District, for opening their homes to us.  As one of our guests said of the evening, "It doesn't get any better than this!"

35 guests were in attendance and the evening began at The English Rose with a variety of starters and wassail.

The first picture below is Susan Kessler (center), her husband Barry and server Rochelle.

Following are random pictures taken of our guests throughout the house while enjoying the first course.

Below is some of the staff from Associated Riverbend Dentists.  This evening was given to the girls as a gift from their employer.

And we are ready to move onto our next home.  The beginning of a fresh snowfall made for a pleasant festive walk to the Queen Anne.

The main course was served at The Queen Anne Inn, prepared by Innkeeper Pauline Medhurst.  The dinner consisted of Mandarin Spinach Salad, Encrusted Chicken Breast, Apple Pork, Carrots and Green Beans, prepared and served to perfection.

Sorry to say, we have few pictures at The Queen Anne Inn, as the batteries in our camera died and we had to make a quick run for fresh ones.  These pictures show the beauty and magnificent architecture of this home as well.

We then moved on to Cushing Manor for dessert to end this lovely relaxed evening. The first picture below is a couple who are regular guests at Cushing Manor, driving to South Bend from Noblesville, Indiana to spend the weekend at Cushing Manor and attend the dinner.

Below, some of the guests took time to browse in the gift shop.
