2009 Trips Jersey Boys - February 11: I am so glad that I joined you and all the wonderful people on the trip to Chicago to see Jersey Boys. This is the second time I have seen this and I have to say, I enjoyed it more this time. The seats were perfect and I saw more than last time. It is always a pleasure to travel with you and Paul. I am looking forward to the next time. Hugs, Sue Cubs vs. Padres - May 14: Cubbies win 11 - 3 !!! Grand Alaska Land Tour - May 22 - 31: Dorothy S. and Phyllis K. went on the marvelous Grand Alaska Land Tour. Thank you so much, Dorothy, for sharing your pictures with us. NASCAR/Michigan - June 14: I hadn't gone into the pit area in 2008, but did make the trek down there this year. Even though I am not a "true NASCAR fan", I have to admit it was pretty exciting being among all the cars and the crowd. National Parks of the West - June 27 - July 8: A traffic jam worth the wait! Murder Mystery Dinner Train - July 11: We enjoyed great friends and families, perfect weather and superb food on this lovely Saturday evening trip about the Old Road Murder Mystery Train. Milwaukee German Fest - July 25: Milwaukee holds a different ethnic festival almost every weekend during the summer in their wonderful Festival Park, situated on Lake Michigan, offering a huge selection of themed food, bands, shopping, and so much more for the entire family. Cubs vs. Nationals - Aug. 27: As we were loading the bus to head for Chicago, the weather was looking as though the game would never be played. The rain then slowed down to a mere drizzle, then quickly cleared up, as we got into Chicago and arrived at Wrigley Field. Tunica & Graceland - Sept. 22 - 25: Then to top off a great tour, it was back to the gift shop area and the diner. Did anyone have a grilled peanut butter and banana sandwich? FireKeepers Casino - Oct. 30: After departing the casino, we stopped for an authentic Amish meal at Rosie's house. Oh my...talk about delicious food and plenty of it! FireKeeper's Casino - Nov. 30: We had another great day at Firekeeper's Casino in Battle Creek and at Rosie's house for her scrumptious Amish Dinner! Of course, we can't take pictures at the casino, but I think Firekeeper's is now my favorite casino. It probably has something to do with me coming home $50.00 ahead, playing on their money alone. As anyone who goes on our casino trips knows, that is a huge win for me! Progressive Christmas Dinner - Dec. 5: It was a chilly evening, which set the mood for a Christmas Dinner in 3 of our exquisite homes in the Historic District of South Bend. Christmas at Opryland Hotel - Dec. 15 - 17: You can't help but be totally awestruck at Gaylord Opryland Hotel in Nashville! Add their Christmas decorations and you will be mesmerized. |
