New York City
June 24 - 29, 2004

The pictures below will take some time to load.  Please be patient.  They are worth the wait.  More pictures will be posted.  We filled the memory card on the digital camera and had to switch to a regular camera.  Those are now being developed.

"42nd Street - The Musical" was a highlight of the trip!  What superb dancing and entertainment!

Private dinner at The Holiday Inn Holidome in Clarion, PA the first night.

Our driver.

Waiting to load the coach in Clarion, PA.

Battery Park.  The man in the yellow shirt was our step-n guide.  The 2 men with the briefcases were 2 of many selling watches out of their briefcases.  It was interesting that when the man on the left saw me aiming my camera at him, he quickly closed his briefcase.

The above is a sphere recovered from the World Trade Center site and is located in Battery Park.  It was the largest piece found intact.

The picture above is the plaque in front of the sphere.
The New York Skyline from the ferry on the way to Liberty Island and Ellis Island.

The man in silver above was a live man in Battery Park.  He stood amazingly still and would just twitch a finger on occasion.

A WWII Dedication in Battery Park.
Bob waiting for Lillie to do a little shopping from a man in Battery Park.  These vendors could be found everywhere in New York City - all selling purses, watches and sunglasses.  It was very interesting to watch their practices, with the police shagging them off on occasion, with them to only move a few feet and "open up shop" again.

Everyone needs sunglasses and a hat on a warm sunny day while visiting the Statue of Liberty!

The area on the right is the corner of the World Trade Center site.

One of the buildings in the area under repair.

Looking into the basement of the disaster site (above and below).  There was a very tall chain link fence around the construction site, making it very difficult to get pictures.

Another building undergoing repairs.

The building above is in question of being repairable.  Notice the transparent black shroud that covers about the upper 1/3 portion of the building.

The Ice Rink at Rockefeller Center in the summer.  Those are tents with people having lunch beneath.

Tour of Radio City Music Hall.
The lounge area of the ladies' restroom in Radio City Music Hall.

A sculpture in Radio City Music Hall.

Costumes in Radio City Music Hall.

If you look at the piece of paper the Rockette is holding, it says "Hi Sally".  Maxine was sending a note to her friend.  The Rockette got a real laugh out of this.

The below pictures are at Tavern on the Green.

More pictures to come in a few days.

7.10.04 - Enjoyed the NYC trip and pics.  Thanks.     Molly
